1. Origin of the Vibe IPTV Project

Vibe IPTV was born from a clear technical reality: most IPTV stream player applications available on the market are direct ports of generic Android phone or tablet applications. On a large living room screen running LG webOS, these applications suffer from significant latency, memory leaks triggering system-forced crashes, and poor integration with the gyroscopic LG Magic Remote.

Engineered by ZikkSoft, a software development studio based in Dakar, Senegal, Vibe IPTV set a specific goal: engineer a lightweight, native multimedia player calibrated to the exact hardware capabilities of LG Alpha 7, Alpha 9, and Alpha 11 AI processors.

2. Technical Architecture & Performance

Unlike heavy software consuming hundreds of megabytes of RAM, Vibe IPTV strictly respects the 256MB memory limit enforced by the webOS runtime on third-party applications.

  • Optimized Hls.js Core: Fast fragment prefetching (startFragPrefetch) delivers sub-second channel zapping.
  • Two-Layer Caching Architecture: Fast volatile RAM cache combined with persistent IndexedDB storage and strict TTL limits prevents memory fragmentation.
  • Watchdog Anti-Stall Guard: Real-time playback monitoring detects network dropouts and recovers active streams automatically.
  • Engineered for Living Room Comfort: Full gyroscopic Magic Remote pointer support, reliable D-Pad navigation, and dedicated color shortcut keys (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue).

3. Technological Neutrality & Copyright Compliance

🛡️ Strict Commitment to Neutrality

Vibe IPTV is strictly a standalone media player. Much like a web browser or players like VLC, Vibe IPTV does not host, provide, broadcast, distribute, or sell any content, channels, movies, or TV series. The application ships completely blank. End-users must connect their own playlists (M3U) or legitimate credentials obtained through authorized service providers.

ZikkSoft strongly opposes audiovisual piracy and copyright infringement. We strictly adhere to Google Publisher Policies, international intellectual property standards, and open-source webOS developer guidelines.
